Learn How to Become One of the Best Rope Jumpers on the Planet Through My Expert Instruction.

It’s true, in these videos I’ll show you the single rope skills that made me a 7-Time World Champion. Learn the methods of the pros. Whether you are a novice, intermediate, or seasoned jump roper – this DVD is for you!

Watch and listen as I coach you in the following areas:

Section 1 – Basics
Section 2 – Footwork Skills
Section 3 – Turns
Section 4 – Basic/Intermediate Crossing
Section 5 – Advanced Crossing
Section 6 – Basic/Intermediate Multiples
Section 7 – Advanced Multiple Unders
Section 8 – Rope Release Skills
Section 9 – Power Tricks
Section 10 – Putting it All Together

There Are Other Benefits

Rope jumping is an excellent way to build incredible endurance and coordination. Just ask any of the world’s top boxing trainers and fighters. In addition, a rope is just about the most compact piece of training equipment ever thought of. You can carry it anywhere. The only problem with jumping rope is that if you don’t know how to do anything other than the basics, it can become very monotonous and down-right boring.

Don’t ever be bored again. Learn everything from the basics on footwork to crossing, multiple unders and power tricks, and change the way you look at jump roping forever! These aren’t just single rope skills, they are the stepping stones to your greater understanding of jump rope.

This DVD can and will properly instruct anyone with zero experience from beginner through intermediate and advanced jumping and I am proof of that. I received the DVD and within one 5 minute viewing of the basics section (Section I), I grabbed my rope, sized it as instructed, went outside and skipped 60 revolutions using proper form within three attempts. Later that day, I watched one of the transition tricks for fun, and again, went outside with my rope and performed the move in two tries. My success in this example is not to show how egocentric I am, but is meant to illustrate the fact that this DVD breaks down every single move in a logical, no nonsense way. The moves have multiple demonstration angles with close-ups of the feet and are presented in literally step by step increments that thoroughly break down every component of every move in correct and logical order/sequence. There is absolutely zero guess work on the viewer’s part, and the instructor speaks clearly in a very calm and vocally coherent cadence.

If any of the readers of this review saw me attempt to jump rope prior to watching this video, I suspect that most would laugh out loud at my performance. After starting this video, I doubt anyone would laugh at the skills I have learned in such a short time.

Finally – an intro into rope jumping from the very beginning!
Even as a senior and after several injuries i could start doing the preparing exercises and the first jumps thanks to Peters systematic and detailed approach.

Although i am not as talented as the other reviewer, i already learned the first section! You would laugh seeing me doing all the beginning exercises so slowly and carefully, but for the first time i got a kick on it and i am convinced i found a way to step into a new fitness activity, a “workout” and to learn a lot more with this wonderful DVD!

I have it permanently loaded into my PC and refer to it almost daily as I work to learn new skills. Since I have not found a fitness club or trainer in my area that teaches rope skipping skills, Peter’s DVD is my virtual “teacher” and I can see that it contains enough content to keep me challenged for many years to come.

My goal is to become very proficient in rope skipping and increase my fitness level and I believe Peter’s DVD will help me to accomplish my goals!

I like it. I rope skip on my own so it was the right choice for me. Takes endurance, burns calories-great for the calves. (Not too much variety in regular workouts for that muscle)
I am very happy with it and would recommend it.

This DVD is fantastic for the beginners. It is comprehensive, detailed, and step-by-step. I didn’t have any source around me that could help me skip rope with style, this DVD lead me to a fast track. Now I am the source, even though I only finish the first 5 sections.

But I have to say, although this instruction video is great, it is no guarantee of good rope skipper without a lot of practice, just like the old Chinese-saying: How to perform is up to teacher, How to perform well is up to you.

I was a male over 50 years of age beginner and the DVD help me in establishing the fundamentals to get started.

Easy to follow instructions and clear explanations on how to perform the tricks. I highly recommend this video.

Less than a year ago I stumbled across ‘jumping rope’ in an american fitness magazine. I needed to lose some weight, and thought this sounded like the ideal solution – creative, dynamic, portable, different. So I bought your video and was totally inspired.

I had not done any cardio workouts for years, but I was able to follow the clear, concise instructions and very quickly reached a proficient standard of skipping. Skills I thought were way beyond my capabilities were cleverly broken down, and with patience and practice and an enormous sense of achievement, I mastered them.

I have since taken a basic coaching course with the British Rope Skipping Associaton and am bowled over by the enthusiasm from all ages (professional athletes to 70 years olds )wanting to learn to jump rope with me. I think there is a huge opportunity not yet tapped into, in the market here in the UK, for teaching adults the benefits and pure fun of jumping rope. I refer to the video constantly, and always see something different and new each time I view it. It will keep me motivated and challenged for a lifetime. I had my fiftieth birthday in June and have never felt in such good shape. People are so enthused when they realise age is no barrier and that technique and proper form are skills that are easily learned and expanded upon. I’m just trying to master the ‘frog’!!! Ambitious at my age I know, but with your help I’m determined to give it my best shot.

Thank you Peter. Keep up the good work.

The DVD is a great DVD. Could not possibly wish for anything more – from the most basic to the most advanced – all is clear, systematic and coordinated. – the perfect dvd for rope skipping.

I really enjoyed your DVD’s. I am a boxing instructor, and usually start my warm-ups and cool-downs by jump-roping. Jump-roping mindlessly everyday without any creativity is boring! Your DVD’s increased my creativity and skill through easy to understand instruction! Who ever knew jump-roping could be so much fun, my friends are constantly amazed with my jump-roping skills!

I started jump roping for fitness purposes and as a professional juggler soon wanted to learn tricks. After a little looking I settled on Peter Nestlers Single Rope Skills DVD. A very wise move on my part! Peter breaks everything down to a very understandable level so that the only thing that might keep you from learning the skills you not trying.

From a fitness standpoint, why spend 30 minutes walking/running on a tread mill (a skill you already possess) when you could be learning new skills and getting a much more effective interval style of workout while having the fun and satisfaction of learning something new. And the beauty is you don’t even have to time your intervals: work on a skill until your winded (doesn’t take long) rest briefly and work on it again. Intervals the natural way.

PS I was in my mid 40s when I bought the DVD. It’s not just for the young.

Since I am only a beginner to this sport, your DVD of single rope skills was just what I needed. Although I have only progressed to the single side swing, your advice about how to start slowly was very important. I can’t emphasize how necessary it is to use your guidelines when just beginning. I didn’t want to become discouraged and quit by jumping ahead (so to speak) without first the mastering the basics. I’m sure the aerobic benefits will be well worth the investment.

I must admit as I’m 71 years old I haven’t got into too many tricks as shown on your dvd. Having said that I think that your single rope dvd is excellent and I would highly recommend it. Very well presented in an easy to learn step by step method its a must for beginners and advanced jumpers alike.

hello Peter.. i just wanted to say that I purchased your single rope skills dvd about 2 years ago and am still working with it. it’s a great resource.. i can slow it down and repeat it over and over again till it clicks and i start picking up new skills (tricks)

i focus on boxing style with cable ropes…combined with some of your moves i’ve learned, i’ve dropped 40+ pounds over 1 year. it’s a great way to make new friends on the beach boardwalk in toronto .. people approach me every day..or just stand and watch..

anyway keep up the great work.. you’re definitely part of the solution when it comes to helping people of all ages with challenging and fun workouts. I highly recommend your videos.

My kids are members of the Hot Shots from Franklin, TN. The team is relatively new and my daughter who is in the 7th grade is one of the oldest on the team. She has never had a mentor to help her learn the more difficult tricks. My son jumps well but his skills are progressing fast. His sister is no longer of help to him either. I bought the video because both my kids needed help with learning the more difficult tricks. Although our coach is great, she can not demonstrate the tricks like you can. Both of my kids have used this video to pick up trick ideas to prepare for their recent competitions. In fact, my son went to Nationals this year. I was able to help my kids learn these tricks and am even using it myself in order to prepare to compete in the more mature” jumpers age division next year. You break each trick down so well. Now we need you to do a video that teaches transitional steps. I hear Lisa Arnold is working hard to get you to come to our school this year. I hope to get to meet you. My kids think you are awesome.”

Especially great is the possibility to download the materials, so there is no waiting time and no additional costs for shipment and taxes!

The payment procedure was somehow distorted, but peter managed the failings, so that i got the downloads (although huge file size!)

After unpacking I got the files a little mixed up – but Peter sent the contents list of the DVD and now it is perfect.

I wished every teacher could explain and demonstrate so clear and thoroughly as Peter

I recently received “Single Rope Skills” and am very pleased with the content, thoroughness of the description of each skill and manner in which the DVD is divided into various skill categories. I highly recommend Peter’s DVD to anyone with a serious interest in developing rope skipping skills. As an added benefit, you get a great workout while you are working on the skills even if you are a beginner. My goal is to become very proficient in rope skipping and increase my fitness level and I believe Peter’s DVD will help me to accomplish my goals!

Thanks Peter – Lee Chase, New Britain, CT

A few years ago, I bought two rope videos (produced by other companies) that claimed to teach the viewer beginner, intermediate and finally advanced rope skills. After viewing these, I walked away frustrated and still unable to jump rope. With this stated, the primary problem with those products was the fact that the videos start off with tricks (some advanced tricks at that) with zero explanation given on the basics (IE: Correct/basic jumping form, arm placement etc). With both videos, it was assumed that the viewer automatically has the ability to understand and breakdown jumping and tricks by simply watching someone else perform the moves at moderate to high speed. Furthermore, in some instances the instructors are jumping with a white rope against a white background and the viewer cannot acceptably see the actual rope during revolutions. At that point, the viewer is left with the problems of attempting to figure out body mechanics and personally break down the moves into learnable components. It gets worse: these videos were generically shot/presented in one perspective. With this lack of multiple views or angles, the viewer is unable to make sense of what is being viewed, let alone perform what is on the screen

Cut to the “Single Rope Skills” DVD I bought from this site: This DVD can and will properly instruct anyone with zero experience from beginner through intermediate and advanced jumping and I am proof of that. The DVD is stripped of any extraneous material and cuts to the chase with the priority set at giving the viewer the tools to perform each move correctly and all skills from basic through advanced build on the knowledge of the previously mastered skill. After explanations are given, the tricks are demonstrated at moderate/full speed to illustrate how they look when executed properly. At the end of each move, the instructor gives baseline examples for timelines the viewer should expect to be able to complete or “master” the specific moves, leaving the viewer with zero guess work and good guidelines for advancement.

In Short: If any of the readers of this review saw me attempt to jump rope prior to watching this video, I suspect that most would laugh out loud at my performance. After starting this video, I doubt anyone would laugh at the skills I have learned in such a short time. I can see this DVD will keep my interest for the next year or so as the no nonsense and logical approach to the instruction is directly aimed at progress. Note: The DVD contains 10 Learning sections and most of the moves and tricks you would see a Boxer perform are outlined in the first four sections of the DVD. With that stated, if you learn a few tricks from each section, you would blow away most of your friends and onlookers with your rope skills. – Great video! I am stoked and look forward to blowing people away within the next 6 months!
