Last week I got quite a surprise when I dialed up an old friend and found that I still had the right phone number. When I said old I really meant it, we knew each other about 10 years ago and I hadn’t seen him in about 7 years. I honestly didn’t think that I would be able to get a hold of him since I really was doubting whether he still lived there, but what do you know, it was right. Ray Kozak is a professional rodeo roper and is one of the best in the world. He’s got 2 World records and is a great guy. We ended up having 2 snow days while we were there so we ended up staying much longer than anticipated. Unfortunately he works with cattle so he never gets a day off so we didn’t get to go out and do anything, but it was still great to see him. It was one of those surprises that makes traveling as much as we do so great. We’re up in Indiana now and will spend a couple days here before we head into Kentucky then somewhere else next week. Hopefully the weather will start cooperating as all this snow is making it difficult to perform.
