I just finished performing at the annual sidewalk festival in Sioux Falls, SD. This was my first time in this amazing city and I had a great time. I drove up here after 2 shows in Southern Kansas (which is an 8.5 hour drive) and arrived at about midnight last night. I got up this morning and it was lightly raining as I walked over to the performance stage. It ended up lightly sprinkling through the first show and was a little cool outside. After doing a short teaching workshop with a number of people that were there the sun finally came out and itRead More →

This past week has been quite busy. Monday I performed in South Carolina for the Men’s Health Fit Schools kickoff. As soon as school was out I headed to the airport and flew to Wichita where my wife picked me up. We drove about 2 hours and camped out in some pretty ghetto camp ground. It was an adventure that we’ll never forget. After 4 hours of sleep we headed to our first school for the day. We had 2 schools that day, then a 5 hour drive to the Oklahoma City area where we had 2 schools yesterday (and a quite rocking lunch I mightRead More →

We just added a new feature to the videoKast page. You can now comment on any of the episodes. Let us (and the world) know what you think about what we’re teaching. We will be monitoring it so please keep it clean, but we’re trying to find places to make the site more interactive. On another note, I’ll be leaving town tomorrow (actually today since it’s 2:45 in the morning). I’m headed out to South Carolina for the Men’s Health Fit Schools kick off event. It should be quite fun. I then fly into Wichita Monday night to begin my tour on Tuesday. There’s a numberRead More →

I just got a call from FOX News and the piece that I filmed with them will air tomorrow morning at 8:50 AM EST. Make sure to check it out! This is a big week for me. I’ll write more on this later, but I got a call from Men’s Health last night and they’re about to kick off a fitness initiative for kids and I’ll be flying to South Carolina for the kickoff on Monday. I’m really excited to be a part of it as they’re taking steps to fight childhood obesity. There’s a bunch of fitness professionals scheduled to be there so it shouldRead More →

We have been busy all weekend encoding tricks and uploading them to the website. We have all the current videoKast episodes online and some of the skills from the Single Rope Skills DVD. We should have the remainder of the video up by the end of the week. Each trick is $.65 or 2/$1 (the discount is taken when you check out). The new Double Dutch video will be uploaded before it ever gets printed to DVD so you can also be watching for that some time in the near future :-). Time to get back to work, plenty of editing still to do.Read More →

In an effort to keep up with the times, I am currently porting over all of my DVD’s to be available online. Soon you will be able to purchase individual tricks for a very low price and build your own DVD. I’ve started by making the current videoKast episodes available for $.99 for a full resolution version. They are up on the store now available for purchase. I haven’t made these available for free due to the amount of bandwidth they consume, plus they’re too big for iPods. For a dollar you can now pick them up and burn them off to DVD and watchRead More →

I was in for quite a shock yesterday, and I didn’t even see it coming. I’ve been working hard on getting the new Double Dutch video laid out so I can get further into the editing process. The first stage is matching up all the camera angles so I can pick and choose which one is better. After doing all the layout, it turns out that the video is almost 7.5 hours long! I was quite shocked to say the least. With around 145 skills covered this has got to be the most in depth video on Double Dutch and Chinese Wheel ever created. I’mRead More →

The 6th episode of the videoKast was posted today. While everyone was here filming the video we went ahead and filmed a few episodes for the videoKast. This episode is the first on Double Dutch and covers the basics (turning, entering and exiting) as well as a fun individual trick (push-up shoot through). This will give you a taste of what you can expect to learn from the upcoming full-length Double Dutch and Chinese Wheel instructional video. In other news, I had a great remainder of the weekend out in Alabama. I was quite tired when I got home (a case of lots of jumping andRead More →

I’m sitting in Decatur, AL right now at my hotel. I had a show in Northport last night, one here in Decatur this morning, another one tomorrow morning then a program in Alabaster tomorrow night. It’s a pretty full weekend and has been a lot of fun so far. It’s always great to meet up with people you know from past ventures, and this weekend has me re-uniting with a couple people I haven’t seen in a few years. For an update on my Fox News gig, I flew out to New York on Wednesday and was all set to do the program Thursday morning, whenRead More →
