Yesterday I performed my first jump rope school assembly program for the 2016-2017 school year. I’ve had a busy summer traveling and performing, but there’s something special about the first school assembly of a new year. I got a call a couple weeks ago from a Native American boarding school in western Oklahoma. They have around 600 students from all over the country ranging in grades from 4-12. I am finally back in the states after a whirlwind trip to Suhag and Cairo Egypt. Alicia and I had a great time visiting some friends we made last time as well as meeting many new people (and of course putting on many jump rope shows and workshops). Jump rope shows everywhere! I have been so busy this year traveling around the country performing for Jump Rope for Heart events, school assemblies, Upward award nights and more! In fact, I have only set foot at home something like 4 days this year. I spent last week filming an updated version of my Single Rope Skills jump rope video! I have been wanting to do this for quite some time and I am so excited that it is finally filmed! Yesterday I finally broke my 11th Guinness World Records Title! This one was for the most skips in one hour and I have to say, this one was tough. I attempted this record a couple weeks ago and missed it by 250 jumps so I had to give it another go. I contacted a team in the Dallas area (big thanks to HFS Jump Force for counting and witnessing) and they came out to be the official judges for the event.
